Students are expected to use studio class time to engage fieldwork and/or edit projects. Each stage of the project process is awarded a range of points, failure to complete any one stage will result in zero points for that stage. Participation in critiques is mandatory.

Project 2) Space: Site Specific Media Utilized: Video, Photo, Audio

Process
a) Student are asked to identify a space of interest. This space can be an existing active community site or in contrast the site the lacks any social or community activity.
b) Once identified students are ask to research the site/space. It's history, ecology, and relevance.
c) Throughout the research process students are expected to use new media tools to capture and create the stories and aesthetic related to the site.
d) Lastly students will devise a strategy to engage the space creating a discussion regarding significance of the site or changing the significance of the site.

The final outcome of this project will be a video or photo essay (with audio) revealing both the research and engagement created. This can be completed as a group project.

25points - Research with preliminary fieldwork due (in progress critiques) March 4th
50points - Fieldwork due and Project due: March 28
